Inverting colors helps Tesseract
Been doing some work with OCR automation using Tesseract and discovered that it is really helpful to invert the image before doing the character recognition. Especially on black surfaces with the laser engraved characters. This quite maskes sense, since the background is already inverted from blac kto white. Thought it might be worth sharing.
As a side note, this is my 16th post in a row. I did not felt like writing too much today, so I decided to at least I show up. Keep up!
