I've spent last two days wiring a machine, so no programming post today. I do not do this work too often, but when I do, it is a relief. It is a form of art. It is not the same kind of art as programming is, though. With the wiring, the results are far more palpable and far less abstract. Once wired, photos can be taken and shared straight away, the same way paintings do. It is however far harder to capture the beauty of the masterfully crafted program in a photo. It is more like impossible, because photo can capture the beauty of the user interface design, which is another form of art. Enjoy art in whatever form you see fit.
